Physiotherapy

The term physical therapy was replaced by physiotherapy in 1994. Physiotherapy refers to all forms of exercise therapy. It is usually part of the treatment of an existing illness or is used in the aftercare of illnesses, operations or accidents. The exercises are carried out under the supervision of physiotherapists. These can be passive, active - assisted or active movements or exercises.

What is it good for?
Depending on the patient's complaints and clinical picture, the physiotherapist has different forms of treatment at his or her disposal:
• Promoting mobility through active and functional exercises
• Avoiding stiffness and pain through passive mobilization
• Strengthening weakened muscles through strengthening exercises to improve posture and coordination
• Relaxation exercises for tense muscles to restore optimal muscular conditions
• Breathing exercises to support breathing in the case of respiratory diseases (loosening, mobilization, secretion release, easing breathing)

You can have physiotherapy prescribed by your doctor or you can book it as a personal service and pay for it yourself. You can find the prices on our website or ask us via the contact form.

We would be happy to create a plan with exercises to do at home for you for an additional charge.
